An invitation to play is an educational term and a concept that originated from an early childhood philosophy approach. This educational approach uses kid-centered and self-directed experimental learning.

Simply put, an invitation to play is when we offer materials to the child that are open-ended (can be used a wide variety of ways).  Essentially, you INVITE them to play by displaying these materials in interesting ways and then let the child explore those materials. In doing so, the child will learn how the materials work, both individually and together. 

At each workshop toddlers will have the opportunity to play sensory bins as well as a variety of other stations. All materials will be provided.

This workshop is open to toddlers 18 months to 5 years however most activities are geared toward 3-5 year old.
